[SLE] SuSE's 1.5.0.4 Firefox update is buggy
After the installation of the 1.5.0.4 update of Firefox I found that it broke one of my favorite extensions, Tab Mix Plus. While a middle click opens a new tab as usual, the tab displays only the icon and I cannot switch between tabs using the mouse. Clicking on the tab does nothing. I can however switch tabs from the keyboard. As far as I know it is only the SuSE update that has this problem as I have not seen this on any other installation. I tried to remove my .mozilla directory and it did not help. Removed the extension and reinstalled it, nope. Even removed Firefox and re-installed it and it still did not help. Anyone else seen this problem? Hot this one, but the google toolbar's search box now has a frame around the inside hiding most of the font, so you can't see what you type into it. I've seen it before, I think when 9.3 ro 10.0 came out - again, only in SUSE -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

OK, I saw what caused my problem. The updated FireFox defaults to the Crystal theme. I set it back to the default theme and the google toolbar went back to normal. Maybe that is your issue too? Yes, this was my problem as well. Looks like the Plastik 2.0 beta theme breaks the plugins. Avi Hans du Plooy wrote:

Known bug. Don't have the bugzilla id at hand, though... The default theme actually depends on whether you start FireFox the first time on KDE or Gnome or a different window manager.
