Re: [SuSE Linux] Back on the list...
Sorry, I just read this list, I do not maintain it. But I will forward your request to the listadmin.
I'm also just back to this list. I've been unsubscribed because of several mail loops with fax gateways and the like. Could you forward a request to the listadmin to do something about this problem? Restrict the number of allowed email from any email address pr day to 10? Or something like that. - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>

IMO that would be a very bad idea. Instead only people subscribing to the list should be able to write to it. These bounce-messages usually come from some other address like postmaster@ admin@ or similar, not from the address actually sent to. Another suggestion for improvement would be to have the server respond to messages containing HTML parts, asking the sender to use normal text instead. Yes and amen.
