Hi! I'm running SuSE 9.2 Pro, but i manually compiled kernel 2.6.10 for himself. Now, there's a security upgrade for the SuSE kernel (which is still installed, but not activated), and even though i sets the kernel upgrade as "Protected - Do Not Modify" or "Taboo - Do Not Install", SuSEWatcher continues to complain at him about a security update. Should i uninstall the SuSE kernel altogether, update it to get SuSEWatcher to shut up, or is there an easier way? thank you. -- Telecom SUCKS!!!

Couldn't you still let it update, but just change your symlinks and /boot/grub/menu.lst to continue to use the compiled kernel you did? just a thought, Lee -- --- KMail v1.7.2 --- SuSE Linux Pro v9.2 --- Registered Linux User #225206 "Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game!"
