Re: [opensuse] How to clone HDD
Thanks to all that very kindly answer my post.
Is it any software that able to do it? Do I need to (re)configure GRUB on copy HDD?
Yes you need to re-configure GRUB *AND* fstab because in 11.1 the device pointers are /dev/disk/by-id/ which contains the model and serial # of the
hard drive. Using another drive would not be at the same location. You can update it to be the new disk or you can change it just to be e.g. /dev/sda1,so >you can put the new drive in the same place on the controller and it will work.

I recommend you take a look at Clonezilla. It is a liveCD that should do a quick clone of the drive. It uses partimage which supports ReiserFS: portions of the partition. For speed and efficiency, free blocks are not written to >the image file. This is unlike the 'dd' command, which also copies empty blocks."
Andrew, After cloning the HDD, seems I cannot instantly use the 2nd HDD as I should change the Serial Number (part of disk ID). Hope you would help me sometime as I may be get difficulty to try it.
