I set up my own IMAP server because I wanted to be able to access my email from multiple computers, without worrying about which computer a message was on. My ISP does not offer IMAP. I am the sole user on that server. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

i'm doing the same here. i like to have everything available locally in case my internet connection funks out (which happens frequently), and i want to be able to access it with different clients. using KDE 4.5.2 from factory, sometimes even trunk, accidents aren't exactly uncommon. but i've set up postfix really simple; none of this intermittent stuff. collection is done via fetchmail, as you said. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
