Funny thing, when i hover my mouse over the video display applet by the clock, it reports 1280x1024. When i installed SLED10, i selected 1400x1050 SXGA+. So, i open the applet which opens SaX2 and SaX2 reports 1400x1050. Which one is it? My video card is on-board and is intel i845 and the monitor is Dell 2001FP. The monitor can do 1400x1050 so my guess is that the card can not do the 1400x1050? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It is possible the card cannot do 1400x1050, but I suspect instead you probably have the resolution set to 1280x1024 in KDE. If SaX2 reports 1400x1050, then that should be configured into the X config. Have you actually tested the card and monitor at that resolution? KDE Control Center, Peripherals, Display --> Screen resolution. Here you can select any resolution up to the maximum that is configured in SaX2. -- Hypocrisy is the homage vice pays to virtue. -- François de La Rochefoucauld -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
