SuSE 7.2/ps2 and touchpad mouses together?
Hello, Small question. Laptop: at home I work with external mouse and keyboard: they are both ps/2. Small problem: I have only one ps/2 port. Problem was solved with a small accessory with two ps/2 outputs that I plugged on the unique ps2/2 port of my laptop (I duplicate thus the ps/2 port). Now the accessory broke this afternoon. I can of course use a usb mouse with my ps/2 keyboard. No problem it works. Problem though: I need sometimes to scan and I have a usb scanner and only one usb port thus if I scan, I can't use the mouse. With my ps/2 mouse I could use the touchpad at the same time (very probably ps/2 connection too). With the usb mouse I can't use the touchpad at the same time. Thus I went to SAX2. When I launch sax2, it recognised the usb mouse and the touchpad at the same time. I could use both simultaneously while in SAX2. I supposed thus that it was possible to use both and I configured both type of mouse with Sax2 (see /etc/XF86config below) Both are visible in the XF86config file: Problem, it is difficult to control what SAX2 decides to do and it seems that two ps/2 config are present. Problem: touchpad and usb mouse still don't work together. It is only a problem when I want to scan with usb scanner, I have to go again in SAX2 and change the configuration each time (it will be faster to save two different /etc/XF86.config files). Thus: HOW TO USE PS2 AND USB MOUSE TOGETHER IF POSSIBLE?
