don't you think it would be usefull to have a user page for tips on opensuse.org page? Of course I can manage this, but it would be much better if there where an official starting link from the main page. for now, I manage one at http://fr.susewiki.org (in french). Of course I can do the same on http://susewiki.org, the english counterpart, but it would be better on opensuse... I think :-) I write this from opensuse just installed with very few and neglectable problems thanks jdd -- Visitez mon site web http://www.dodin.net

As a rule of thumb, first write text (a wiki-page) and then add a pointer from and existing page to the new contents (="your" new wiki-page). If a page is protected, use the discussion page--the wiki admin will eventually promote contents from a discussion page to the real article page.

Congratulations! Don't forget to report the problem in bugzilla if not already done. Karl -- Key fingerprint = B2A3 AF2F CFC8 40B1 67EA 475A 5903 A21B 06EB 882E

I nearly always start from my own page. However the lack of left column bug makes things difficult. I'l manage that If a page is protected, use the discussion page--the wiki

I'l do. let aside some text translation ones my problerms where mainly a complicated hardware config. Also what I want to doc is my method to install many distros on the same disk. it's only caveat is that it don't let the new install boot right from scratch (the essential trick is to always install on the first sector of the distro partition), but needs a small edit in the old system. I didn't install 9.3 - I was a little upset by the aggressive novell suse takeover on the first novell release and ran Mandrake. However, despite 2 or 3 tries in 5 years, I never could feel confident with mandrake. SuSE smoothness is invaluable. new open suse is really a pleasure for the eyes, beautifull! I greatly appreciate also the cd check beginning the install. I just drive a course with suse 9.0 and had two or 3 bad disks, a real problem with internet teaching :-) thanks jdd -- pour m'écrire, aller sur: http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.net http://arvamip.free.fr
