As far as I can see from the specs of this board, it has an Intel ICH7R
controller, which should be hardware RAID. This means the RAID is set up in the BIOS, not in the system. So configure your RAID0 in the BIOS,
then
the OS will see a single drive
Unfortunately, exactly THIS setup is NOT working. When configuring a RAID on the mainboard (as it should be in my eyes too), Linux denies installing, stating that it detected a Software raid. Kernels up to 2.4 would have had possibilities to deal with this (that's somewhat the message I saw while trying to install suse Linux 10.1 while hardware raid was activated) But that was only a side note on the post.
