How about web-based email clients? Does e.g. hotmail have an ability to show the headers? Don't know, never used or needed to use that spam server. I have my MTA set to automatically mark all mail from hotmail as spam with the exception of list members. Not once have I had a problem unsubscribing (at least 10 times I can recall) from the list. I always unsubscribe when I go away on vacation or other travel so I don't come back to hundreds of emails. When you send the _proper_ request to unsubscribe make sure you reply to the confirmation email or you will never be unsubscribed. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

It has probably been asked before as we have seen this kind of topic since times immemorial.. But why not add a line to the footer stating how to unsubscribe too. So the ones not being able to (or dont know how to) read the headers get the picture? Its probably faster then to to try to educate everyone coming in here... It's decided by the same people who insist on not having replies go automatically from the list. It's that way because they said so. You are inciting. You were in the last ?? dozen discussions about "reasons". There are valid reasons and they HAVE been explained. And sigs are *supposed* to be limited to a maximum of four lines plus the "-- " sig indicator. here here! and might I add "amen"! It is just so simple ... if lot's of people have trouble, it's because the "UI" is bad.
