I have a netgear 10/100 nic (dp83815) using a national semiconductor chipset, and I am using suse 8.1. I remember before with 7.x I had to d/l the driver but it had an issue which drastically slowed down the data throughput. I can't seem to find much about this anymore on the web, so I was wondering if anyone knows if that is no longer an issue with the driver supplied with 8.1? thanks, jeric -- JericAtSbcglobalDotNetwork 12:02am up 11 days, 15:51, 6 users, load average: 0.20, 0.11, 0.08

*************************************************************************** I don't know if this is a specific issue, but National has cut back drastically on the things that it used to make. Look on their website and see if the device you're interested in is still manufactured or supported. Of course, also go the the Netgear website and do likewise. That might be more productive. (I'm pretty sure they're still in business.) --doug, wa2say ****************************************************************************
