Hello, I have latest packages of Amarok 1.4.4-23.1 from backports suse repository... But there is no support for magnatune. Was it removed deliberately? thanks, miso

Perhaps the reasons are in order too... ? ;) (I guess the payment model was interesting, right?) Ciao, Marcus --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Like the implementation how your credit card information is submitted and that it is posted under the personal account of one Amarok developer at Magnatune? would you please let me know who that developer is? I used the magnatune payment options already, not knowing that the information is misused and I have to press charges now.
Bye, Steve

I did not say that it is misused. We don't know if the developer has the ability to view the transaction history (including credit card information) or if/how he is participating in the sales made via this features. Because of these open questions the SUSE build of Amarok disables Magnatune integration. Thank you for clarifying the situation. I guess I should have not entered my credit card information without any security assurances in the first place. I will take it as a reminder not to be overly trustful when it comes to monetary transcations. Er.... perhaps could somebody explain what is that all about? :-? I hadn't even heard of magnatune before, but what I read here hinted at... well, I find it curious, to say the least! A link explaining it, perhaps? - -- Cheers, Carlos E. http://magnatunes.com/ looks very interesting, from a buyers as well as from an artists POV. Peter --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
