[SuSE Linux] XFree86 3.3.3.1 dies with an error 11
Hi, After upgrading to XFree86 3.3.3.1 on my SuSE 5.3, running The Gimp and ImageMagick crashes the X server. Is there a know solution to this problem? -- Rafael Herrera Laboratory for Computational Neuroscience University of Pittsburgh <A HREF="http://www.neuronet.pitt.edu/~raffo</A">http://www.neuronet.pitt.edu/~raffo</A> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
I downloaded the X server binary from the XFree86 ftp site. In my case XSVGA.tgz, the file is XF86_SVGA. I replaced this binary for the server from SuSE. I run gimp, xv, display (ImageMagick) and the X server didn't crash. I need to make more tests.
