[opensuse] 11.4 problem with SD flash memory
Hi Folks, 11.4 is a great release in my experience. Congratulations to the devs and community! But after four 11.4 desktop installs I've finally encountered a problem with SD flash memory cards. The desktop is a HP with an integrated card reader. It worked with 11.3, and the access led flashes when the card is inserted as if all was well. But there's no indication of anything happening in the OS. /var/log/messages is completely silent and lsusb doesn't show anything. USB devices are detected and work okay (USB memory, CAC card readers and cameras). Does anyone have similar issues? lsusb shows: Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 002 Device 002: ID 05e3:0608 Genesys Logic, Inc. Flash Card Reader/Writer on bus device 002 is the one responsible for flash. Any thoughts?
