In 7.0 I used sax and xfree3.x to get windowmanager to run, but now in 8.1 I can no longer get it to work. I have tried different settings during installation but none worked. Then I tried to manually adjust the /etc/X11/XF86Config file manually, but that didn't work either. Then I tried xf86config, and still, nothing. When the X display comes up, it is there, but all screwy and I can't see anything on the screen. I know my settings from 7.0, but it won't take them. Please help. It installed completely with Yast2 installation screens, so it should work, maybe if anyone knows the Yast2 settings during installation I could use them? During install in 7.0 I had chosen LCD 800x600@60Hz to get it to work, but this won't do it anymore. I remember I had the same problems with 7.0 when I tried to use XFree4.x (which is why I had used 3.x). I thought that XFree4.x had a bug, as it was an immature version, still.
