Hi All! On SuSE 8, I am trying to set up the ISDN portion of a AVM Fritz!Card DSL through 1und1/T-Online. I am pretty sure that the card itself is set up correctly. At least I do not see any errors during boot or boot.msg. In YAST, the test of the card comes back OK. However, only with the AVM Capi driver and not with Hisax. This card was not specifically listed so I used AVM Fritz PCI V2. When I run kppp, I get as far as "Dialing 019102345" and get this in the "login scriopt debug window" I get: ATZ OK ATM1L1 OK ATDT019102345 NO MSN/EAZ What bothers me first is the "NO MSN/EAZ". I couldn't find any place to configure the MSN unless I configure a new provider. When I did that I am sure it is correct. There is an entry for the area code "+49 9565", which I think is the correct format (the prefix is correct). There is also the entry for the "dailprefix" to get an outside line. This should not be necessary as the ISDN card is connected directly to the NTBA. However, in desperation I tried it any way (with '0'). I have also selected Euro-ISDN. PPP is configured directly into the kernel and not as a module. Nothing happens for several minutes until I get the exact same messages above. I looked through several KB article on the SuSE site, but nothing seems to apply and it *seems* that the configuration is correct based on the articles. Any help is greatly appreaciated. No idea where it is in 8.0's YaST2 or kppp, but at least in 6.4 it lives in /etc/rc.config.d/i4l.rc.config I4L_LOCALMSN_0 Theo -- Theo v. Werkhoven ICBM 52 8 24N , 4 32 40E. S.u.S.E 7.3 x86 Kernel 2.4.16-4GB See headers for PGP/GPG info.

The file doesn't exits and I couldn't find any other file where that variable is defined. However, /etc/sysconfig/isdn/cfg-net0 has a variable MSN, which is set to my MSN. Hmmm. I guess I will have to do a more thorough search of the web. Thanks for the help.
