I am giving a presentation in a few weeks to some very big wigs w/in my company as to why we should offer open source solutions on proposals and also implement open source solutions where it makes sense internally. rather than me re-inventing the wheel, does anyone know of any good presentations (or any info) directed towards the executive level audience? Thanks, Ryan

Here are a couple of references to the State of Massachusetts decision, which they have backed off from a bit. http://news.oreillynet.com/pub/n/Mass_Open_Systems2 http://searchwin2000.techtarget.com/originalContent/0,289142,sid1_gci930055,...
Also check Eric Raymond's OSI site. Lots of good information you can use

Also note that OpenSource is supported by many of the major computer
hardware vendors, such as IBM and HP, both of whom are also proprietary
software vendors.

esr's The Cathedral and the Bazaar also offers some thoughts about the logic in terms of open source economics. Mike
