This has probably been asked and answered numerous times, but the search capability of the archives leaves MUCH to be desired. Why is it that the DVD ISO on all of the mirrors only appears to be a small portion (105MB) of the actual DVD? I'm only guessing here, but are you perhaps using a web browser that can't handle files larger than 2GB? Try ftp instead Anders -- Madness takes its toll -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Try ftp instead

This is a new one on me. I am behind a firewall and going through a proxy server. Using either the browser or wget, both report 110,876,672. Using ftp it reports properly. wget can definitely handle large files, so you should file a bug report/feature request against the proxy Anders -- Madness takes its toll -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I recently had an experience where firefox and wget and the ftp I had installed all reported the wrong results (in a directory listing) but a different ftp program was OK. The problem actually was acknowledged as a bug in the ftp server (a well-used public site) that showed up with particular clients. I forget all the details but my point is that it's important to record full details of the programs at both ends of the connections. And the middle if there's a proxy :) Cheers, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
