Hi All
I am using SuSE 6.4 / SoundBlaster Live and am very new to Linux. I have to run modprobe sound to install the sound module every time I want to hear sound. I have put the line: alias sound emu10k1 in the file /etc/conf.modules but this does nothing.
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Graham

put it in your /sbin/rc.config.d/boot.local
not alias sound emu10k1 but modprobe emu10k1 I believe. Alvaro Novo

That would be /sbin/init.d/boot.local for SuSE
not alias sound emu10k1 but modprobe emu10k1 I believe.

Yes, absolutely... missed the "rc.config.d"
not alias sound emu10k1 but modprobe emu10k1 I believe.
