Yes, it is off the thread, but nobody wants to rename the thread. It just goes on, even with the request of some people. So, here it is, I am renaming the thread. Truthfully, I am getting very sick of such thread. Let's get on to something more technical, something more challenging. And while I am at it, the answer to hekate@intergate.bc.ca's answer is: no. The part: test=test -n "$DISPLAY" tests for X display. If you don't want to use X display and want to use the console, then think about what it takes to use something like 'lynx' to view the HTML. Go figure. I know I may be offending some people here. But I think some people got to start using their brains, look at what they have in hand, what they are dealing with, what they want to do, what they want to achieve, then sit down with a good cup of coffee and think about it, instead of just firing off the questions for other people to answer. Of course, if you still can't figure it out, post the question. But make sure you post what you have tried, what you have thought about also. You're right about Lynx. And true I DIDN'T think about that one. But the STUPIDITY of all this posting on such an utterly stupid thread, that is being dragged out because ONE GUY chose to keep posting html, brought out a response of irritation, and that tends to give the brain a bit of a pause. Point: don't post html. Period. NO ONE seems to like it. I don't want to HAVE to 'think' about it. Thanx for the advice and take it yourself.
