Warning: FW_SERVICE_SQUID defined, but no Squid server found running! How do I get squid to startup *before* the firewall? I thought about boot.local but there must be a more elegant method. SuSE 8.1 Thanks, Steve.
The easiest way to change the order of the startup scripts is via the "S" number in the /etc/init.d/rc*.d directories. The scripts are run in numerical order, S01 scripts run before S02 scripts. On Fri, 2003-01-17 at 13:49, fsanta wrote:

Check your script in /etc/init.d. The SuSE squid DOES start before SuSEfirewall2_final. -- Joe & Sesil Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM.
