[opensuse] X not starting with 12.3
Hi, I installed a fresh 12.3 install on my machine. The graphical server is not starting any longer (it was working on 12.2). I run "systemctl isolate graphical.target" to start the graphical server, but I have nothing sent to /var/log/message, /var/log/X... or dmesg. Where can find some error messages ? -- : ` _..-=-=-=-.._.--. What is output from 'lspci | grep VGA'?

Which DM/DE(s) did you install? Why 12.3 and not 13.1?
Where can find some error messages ?
Log in on a tty as root, then run startx to see what messages you get. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Your questions have enlightened my search. The problem was not in Xorg, (even if X does not start), it was about kde3 use. Switching back /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager and /etc/sysconfig/windowmanager to xfce make it work. Thanks a lot Felix ! On 30.04.2014 17:24, Felix Miata wrote:
