[opensuse] Bridge stop bridging
Hello all. Since I have updated the kernel (3.16.7-21-desktop) one of the bridges bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces br1 8000.94de8070da77 no enp5s0 vnet3 vnet8 randomly stops to bridge to the Ethernet card and I have to reboot the system to restore a working system (+- daily now unfortunately). Enp5s0 is the 1Gb Ethernet and vnet3 and vnet8 are connected to two KVM hosts. The ethernet card works, i.e. I can tcpdump the physical LAN network traffic with -i enp5s0 however tcpdump -i br1 shows only the traffic of the vnet3 and vnet8 interfaces. Removing and then adding again the interface enp5s0 is not producing any result, as it is not producing any result removing and reloading the Ethernet module r8168.ko before adding again the interface to the bridge. I was also thinking it could be an STP related problem that it is now disabled, but nothing has changed. Now, before filling a bug report, I want to understand what is going on. Does anyone else have a similar problem? And may I ask where I can find some input on how to debug/mining the bridge module?
