Mozilla.Desktop permission on KDE 3.3 SuSE 9.2
I have a strange problem I just found out .. when trying to change the Mozilla.Desktop icon while in KDE. I had a popup message saying that I did not have permission to do so. I found out that the Mozilla.Destop file belongs to root. Even when I change the link permission as root it always go back to root ... Can come body explaim to me way ? I take it you want this situation rectified. If so: Become root: % su Password: ******** Change the ownership of that Desktop file to yourself: # chown Ephlodur:users ~Ephlodur/Desktop/Mozilla.Desktop Quit the root shell: # exit All done.

Change the ownership of that Desktop file to yourself:

I did that before..read above... but some how the permission is ok now ... but I still wonder why the premission was set for user root...
