Here is the command line message. I've uninstalled and reinstalled gftp from the 8.2 cd's but no luck. Can anyone help me? Same problem, install from tarball and works fine ;-)

Nope. The tarball configures and makes fine but there are no binaries installed in /usr/local/bin after make install under /usr/local/bin. Anyone got an rpm that works? Cheers, Steve.
Has anyone discovered a fix for this problem??? I tried the tarball suggestion and no luck so far. Are we the only 3 people with this problem? Richard On Friday 02 May 2003 3:56 pm, fsanta wrote:

Don't feel bad. It looks like I'm the only one with the PixiePlus problem, heh. John - -- A butterfly is: Pretty,soft,harmless...and useless, just like M$N. No John, you are the only one LEFT with the PixiePlus problem. I solved it by removing PixiePlus. No PixiePlus, No Problem! Sure do miss that program! Richard

LOL! May be true, but I hate to do something that drastic, since I really liked it so much. It was fast and did everything I needed with just a couple clicks, and was easy to use (those books with the title "<whatever> for Dummies"?...I don't even understand *those*! You have to install gtk-devel as well as gtk2-devel. Then the rpm and the tarball works with 8.2. Why doesn't the 8.2 yast depndencies pick that one up? In fact, the console is faster when you know the 5 or 6 ftp commands you need. Advice maybe. Steve.
