I just got done installing beta 4. It's quite nice and seems to be a bit faster in both install and running kde. My problem comes with the necessary softlink for the fstab to correctly recognize the devices. My fstab is as follows. /dev/hda2 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1 /dev/hda5 /home reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 2 /dev/hda1 swap swap defaults 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0 usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0 /dev/dvd /media/dvd subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 /dev/dvdrecorder /media/dvdrecorder subfs noauto,fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0 Notice the /dev/dvd and dvdrecorder. Neither softlink was there in the /dev folder. Did I miss something? I'll do another install tomorrow, just to see if it happens again. Mike
