What sort of mouse is it? Why not post the relevant section of /etc/XFreeconfig so we can check it? You don't need to reboot your machine to check a correct X set up - simply restart x from the commandline, e.g. startx and that will default you to a basic window manager but you'll see immediately if your mouse is working. Just Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to go back to the commandline if it's not working correctly. It's sometimes quicker to just edit the config file yourself using vi, if you've a rough idea of the mouse settings (say you just want to get scrolling working) then that is what I would do. k. I just installed suse7.0 pro on my girlfriends computer and everytime we start it up, in KDE the mouse doesn't respond at all. If i set it back up in yast and sax it works fine but if we reboot the machine, when KDE comes back up, the mouse doesn't respond.
Any ideas as why this might be happening or ideas on what to check? Thanx for any help in advance.
