I don't want to look like an idiot but why would a clearpixel.gif be a spyware issue? When I was a crappier web designer (pre- CSS days) I used them all the time for positioning of text within tables... Nick At 10:00 AM 5/24/2002 -0400, you wrote:

IIRC the spy-ish folk have found a way using a 1pixel by 1pixel gif to essentially follow one round the net! Something that was thought to be impossible! they can gather all maner of data this way, where you went; what you clicked on; how many times you return to a site;etc. The problem aside from the genreal creepiness factor, is they actually are able to do this on an individual w/ an identifyer that Ids that person ( or anyone who uses that box w/ that users login !) j afterthought Money doesn't come easy ... that's just the way it goes!
