Entries like this makes me wonder how well, if at all, you check your stories. 1) when I checked this morning the url from your article ends up at SSC's "page not found" message. the correct url for the 49th issue seems to be url:<A HREF="http://www.ssc.com/lj/issue49"><A HREF="http://www.ssc.com/lj/issue49</A">http://www.ssc.com/lj/issue49 2) at the time I checked (a little before nine in the morning, june 17th, Central European Daylight Savings Time), I was unable to find any references to data aquisition or trains. But then again, if this is an attempt to up your list's comedy appeal, you've succeeded. -- Peter N. M. Dear Peter- Actually the issue cited does have an article on prematurely out-of-round wheels on German trains. May issue, pages 51-54. Whether it's still on the web site is another story, but it appears from the four-page article that this is not a laughing matter to the German engineers involved. Would you like me to mail you a copy? Gordy Heitzman gordster@juno.com " Ja, I can speak Minnesotan " On 17 Jun 1998 09:01:05 +0100 peter@datadok.no (Peter N. M. Hansteen) writes:
