Any particular reason why YOU patches has kdebase-2.1.2-100 setup as kdebase-2.2.1-100? This is causing YOU to downgrade KDE if we installed the KDE 2.2.1 packages which is only at kdebase-2.2.1-18 . -- S.Toms - smotrs@mindspring.com - www.mindspring.com/~smotrs SuSE Linux v7.2+ - Kernel 2.4.4 Power, n: The only narcotic regulated by the SEC instead of the FDA.

SuSE Linux 7.2 officially shipped with KDE 2.1.1 and YOU is intended to download and apply patches/bugfixes for what is officially included in the distribution. KDE 2.2.1 is in the "supplementary" section - we provide these packages as a service for our users. Future versions of YOU will handle this case (newer package already installed) a bit smarter, I hope :) Bye, LenZ -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Lenz Grimmer SuSE GmbH mailto:grimmer@suse.de Schanzaeckerstr. 10 http://www.suse.de/~grimmer/ 90443 Nuernberg, Germany Welcome to California. Thanks for the info, will keep that in mind. :) lg> Bye, lg> LenZ lg> -- S.Toms - smotrs@mindspring.com - www.mindspring.com/~smotrs SuSE Linux v7.2+ - Kernel 2.4.4 It is said that the lonely eagle flies to the mountain peaks while the lowly ant crawls the ground, but cannot the soul of the ant soar as high as the eagle?
