Where do I start looking?
Your local mailer for a start. If you can't send mail with Pine, what exactly happens ? Is mail bounced back, or does it disappear, or hang in the queue, or something else ? -- Darren Wyn Rees merlin@netlink.co.uk ASK your ISP to ADD the NEW england.* Newsgroups http://www.england.news-admin.org/accessfaq.html -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

... Sender domain must resolve I am not aware of anything I have done recently that may have affected the configuration, though I did reboot last week (for the first time in months). I can neither send my mail with pine nor collect my mail from my ISPs using "fetchmail". Netscape works.
Turn off sendmail, connect to ISP, turn on sendmail. When you rebooted, sendmail sees your internal IP, which will not resolve with your ISP's DNS.
