Hi all, I know it is possible to convert a "realaudio" stream into mp3. Exactly one year ago i did it on 144 streams, but i forgot (yes, stupid) to jot it down. I've been playing today with sox, rawrec and lame, without the wanted result. I remember i use to grab the output of the dsp-device, used by realplayer, and "the other program" ran as long (one hour) as there was output from the dsp, and ended automagically. No silence in beginning or end. Anybody to refresh my memory? (wget and streamripper don't work on the site) Hans

Did you try mencoder (comes with MPlayer)? Scott -- POPFile, the OpenSource EMail Classifier http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Linux 2.6.8-24.10-default x86_64
