[opensuse] Gnome Desktop in KDE World
Hello all, I though I would ask here before I submit a bug report. Why after a log in that my desktop starts in KDE and maybe an hour later, gnome is switched in without my consect. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

My guess is that it has nothing to do with time. In all probability you are starting a gnome application which is set to use nautilus for something, and nautilus by default will try to take over the desktop when it launches If you think about it, doesn't it always coincide with launching a particular application? If you install gconf-editor, you can change the settings for nautilus to not be responsible for the desktop Anders -- Madness takes its toll -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Are you saying that while you are using KDE, your screen magically switches to a GNOME environment? Or are you saying when you log in an hour later, the default becomes GNOME? -- ---Bryen--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I assume this clearly indicates that the gnome/mono/evolution data server/zmd/.... (ex)Ximian people now finally have won.... I had thought that the rather unloving KDE configuration of 10.3, especially when compared to the 10.3 gnome configuration, was the first step to defeat. ;-))). Sorry, I could not resist... reagrds Eberhard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
