Thanks for all your help. Problem solved. I changed the driver, and now after that the problem remained only with Mozilla. Then, I followed the instructions in http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/03/jsmeix_print-einrichten-91.html as suggested by Johannes ( I used about:config | font.freetype2.printing etc.) It seems to be working fine now.

What does "a browser" mean? Does it mean "all available browsers" or do you mean in fact "Mozilla and related browsers" (i.e. browsers which are built on the Mozilla engine)?
Did you read http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/03/jsmeix_print-einrichten-91.html ?
What does "the fonts are changed" mean? Do the printed fonts look really strange and ugly or do you notice only minor differences to the fonts shown on the screen? Have a look at http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/07/pohletz_mozilla_fonts.html
