[opensuse] Bluetooth Mouse recommendations
Has anyone successfully used a bluetooth mouse with opensuse 10.3 and which mouse would you recommend. (I have a dell laptop of recent vintage with built in bluetooth radio). -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have a Latitude D630 with a Dell Bluetooth mouse. It works fine now but getting there was not easy. I can't speak for those using KDE as I use Gnome. I suspect KDE user may not have any issues If you are using the Gnome desktop be aware the Gnome bluetooth manager is broken and flat does not work. There are updated bluez utilities available on the Gnome Community repository that some people have been able get working. They did not work for me. After many hours of searching Google and not finding anything that was relevant to SUSE, I finally gave up and un-installed all of the Gnome Bluetooth apps and installed the KDE Bluetooth apps. Then I modified the Bluetooth Manager in Sessions - Startup Programs to automatically launch kbluetooth instead of the Gnome program. kbluetooth will recognize the mouse and it should work fine once you connect it. The only issue at this point is that it doesn't automatically connect when you boot up. The fix is to open Sessions in the Control Center and click the sessions tab. Then click the "Remember currently running applications" button. Hope this helps. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
