YaST1 printer install success, but still no print
Hi Group: YaST1 printer installation on Suse 7.0 was very easy and straightforward. But I'm still not able to print anything. I have tried to print a text document in Star Office. Also tried printing out web page using Opera web browser. I don't receive any system messages or error messages. The data just doesn't seem to reach the printer. I've got lprold, aps, gs_both, gs_fonts, gs_lib all installed. I went through System Administration using YaST1. My printer (HP Deskjet 820C) was on the list. Chose the rest of the options. Nice and easy. I've got my printer set as lp1, might it have to be lp0? I chose lp1 because I thought this was the proper default for kernel 2.2.xx All suggestions greatly appreciated. Mike michael.flug@snet.net
Actually, I believe the default is simply 'lp'... Charles
