RE: [SLE] Fujitsu LifeBook B2130 PCMCIA troubles...
Can't say for definite about the LifeBook 2130 but my L460 works fine with SuSE 6.3 (2.2.13 & pcmcia_cs 2.13). On Tuesday, April 04, 2000 3:52 PM, Tim Duggan [SMTP:tduggan@dekaresearch.com] wrote:

I want some help with PCMCIA CD-ROM on my new LifeBook 2130. (Please!!!) I try to install Suse 6.1 or 6.2 on it but after: "Found PCMCIA chipset "i82365"! Please enter parameters for PCMCIA core modules:" -----I just typed Enter----- "Please enter specific parameters for chipset "i82365" :" -----I just typed Enter----- The light on CD-ROM player lights up and the NB hangs... I have to switch off to restart the notebook.
I've installed Suse on Fujitsu LifeBook B110 without any problem. I never typed any "parameters" before and everything worked. What am I missing here???
My first guess is that the chipset or card is being given a bad irq or some similiar fault. If you can find out what is in use you can exclude those resources from the module and prevent the conflict if there is one. Is there any way you can find out if there is a conflict or not. I know one of the virtual consoles shows the output you'll need to debug this, I just can't remember which one.
Tim
I've tried to find some help on the Internet but no luck....
Can anyone help me out??? I desperately want Suse on my NoteBook!!!!
