[opensuse] Viewing Info Files in Konqueror
Hi, I've recently begun to get some odd behavior from Konqueror when I use it as an info file viewer. Specifically, I enter an "info:" URL (say, info:a2ps) and I see the main page, complete with links. But when I click any of those links I'm not shown the corresponding secondary page. Instead, I get an alert asking me how to handle the target of the link: Open 'info:/a2ps/Important parameters'? Type: HTML Document [] Do not ask again [Save As...] [Open with Firefox...] [Cancel] Has anyone else seen this? Is it some kind of misconfiguration I've inadvertently created? Did you check the file associations? I had Konqueor as the first application to handle such formats of HTML and so on.
I looked at associations in the KDE Control Center, but I could not fine one for "info:" URIs.

Hi Randal,
I looked at associations in the KDE Control Center, but I could not fine one for "info:" URIs.
I am sorry I was not clear. File associations section has a search bar. I typed html and it responded with two records: "application" and "text" I clicked on the "application" and got to sub records: "xhtml+xml" and "x-mimearchive". I clicked on the "xhtml+xml" record. It displayed a couple of applications in right window such as konqueror, epiphany, firefox and so on. Konqueror is the first one. I suppose konqueror is not listed in your settings. I had to tell you that on previous mail. Sorry. Goksin Akdeniz -- www.enixma.org

If it sheds some light on this, I've discovered that "KDevelop Assistant" does not have this problem, even though it appears to be sharing some components with Konqueror (specifically, the rendering looks very similar). So I have a work-around (KDevelop Assistant), but I'm still curious about why Konqueror has developed this system which it did not have in the past. Check the File Associations/Embedding/Left Click Action settings for text/html and see if that has gotten confused. I would also check the behaviour of info: with a newly created user. I can't reproduce it here - it's probably a local glitch.
