A. WindowMaker does not work either -- just recycles me back to the login.
B. The other user that I created after the upgrade from 9 to 9.1 works fine.
The problem are the files and sockets in /tmp/ -- clean out /tmp/ (or change the ownwership) and all should work.
Wipe everything, edoc, root, and the other user or only edoc?
If I try the change method will chown -R edoc:users /tmp/* get it done?
How about this: find /tmp/ -user 500 -print0|xargs --null chown edoc.users See man find, man xargs, man chown. Hope this helps.
