[opensuse] KDM doesn't present a password propmt after resume
Hi!, I've installed OS 11.3 on a Latitude e6400 and it's working fine. The only anoying bit is that after a suspend/resume cycle KDE/KDM doesn't allow me to access my session, there's no password propmt and the session is locked. I can kill the X server and start over or go to another virtual console to start a CLI session. HI there, I do hope that your "11.3" is a typo and you meant to say 13.1. Also suspend/resume works OK here with KDE 4.12.x. While suspending you should see the password prompt come up right before the PC goes to sleep. And after resuming it should ask you for your password. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

This is a known issue. The password window never shows up in some situations, like if you walk away an it goes to sleep by itself. No problem if you close the lid. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329076 -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. 12.x was working fine... :/ Having that upstream report is enough or should we open a ticket for OS?. Regards, -- Ciro Iriarte http://cyruspy.wordpress.com -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Regards,
It fails on my 12.3 and several other distros as shown in that problem report. I would add your input to the KDE one, and defer to the the gurus on this list about a opens use bug report. -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. 11.3 really? Anyway this is a known bug, there is a bug report filed 329076 at bugs.KDE.org R You don't have to kill X, just kill kscreenlocker_greet. -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail.
