Well it might be in /etc/inetd.conf but SuSE 8.2 recommends xinetd and there are seperate files for each service in the /etc/xinet.d/ dir. But you don't want telnet anyway... Use ssh or someone will own you... ;-)

for cups, i have epson stylus 1000 (old printer), i can't find the driver for it. can anyone help me with this problems ?

Is this it: /usr/share/cups/model/Epson/L-1000-epson.ppd.gz
