lost x window..."updating"
I've got a clean install of 10.0 (didn't like 10.1 so I went back) Running KDE... I have everything how I want it...(figures) and I went in to give one last update to (xwindow?) and lost the GUI. Can I just reinstall it from the DVD or CD? The box boots fine, just no GUI. And that is one thing I have got to have. :( I tried to find it on the DVD to install. I tried the repair. Nothing works. anyone? __________________ NVidiariva TNT2 64 Pro Fatal IO error 104 no screen found __________________ knew I should have left things alone. TIA! George
if you type startx, what does the error say? to configure your xwindows (XOrg), use sax2 from the command line when logged in as root B-) On Wednesday 24 May 2006 1:07 pm, suse_gasjr4wd@mac.com wrote:
