I cannot reproduce this problem. Most of our installs are NFS installs, so we should be aware if there really is a bug somewhere...

And the 199.243.226.173 does not have a DNS record associated with it.
No, linuxrc should always ask for the IP address of the NFS server you want to install from... Maybe you unintentionally hit the ESC key?
