I installed suse8.2 with ' Normal Setup' on dell dimension 8250 with sound card [SB Live! Value]EMU10k1X. I used Yast to configure the sound card. the sound funts were saved in the directory /usr/share/sfbank/creative/ by "Install Sound Fonts" from the original Soundblaster driver CD-ROM. As root, delete that file /tmp/mcop-root/linux_local-0cb3-3ed922bb.
I see this occur if my system locks-up/freezes or appears to be locked-up/frozen and I hit the reset button or power cycle the machine. Most recent issue for me is a hard drive going bad and I'm too impatient to wait for an error message to appear. I delete the file and then logout, login as whatever user had the problem. Looks like you may have been or are logged in as root.
