[opensuse] One Click Install
Any clues what I have to change to get Opensuse 1 Click Installs to work with Chrome/Chromium/Vivaldi? If I don't launch them with firefox they just spew some xml and fail. -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Because those browsers do not support easily the configuration change to know what to do with those file types. It only works with Firefox, and perhaps because openSUSE patches the configuration. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 42.2 x86_64 "Malachite" at Telcontar)

To test it on Leap422, I have just installed Chromium and then installed "chrony" with 1-click-installa - worked fine. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-3.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Opera doesn't work either, only firefox. Konqueror crashes when trying to access download.opensuse.org Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

For me on Leap422, one-click didn't work with Konqueror, the xml file was just rendered as text. I suspect this is because Konqueror doesn't accept the xml document, so the web server sends it as text. I had no problems opening http://download.opensuse.org with Konqueror. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-3.4°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

With opera I also just received the xml file as text, despite opera accepting application/xhtml+xml and application/xml. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-3.1°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I have chromium in stalled in 42.1 and TW. No problem. I have vivaldi installed (available from the repos). No problem, works even in 13.2 with a friend. The only hitch I have found is that chromium does play certain proprietary files better. I had opera installed from the repos .... no problem. I disliked what they offer so I uninstalled it. But it worked.
What version of OS do you refer to? What desktop do you use? Could you just paste here what error message you get? What version / repo of browser? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

AFAIK for the usage of one-click you need the plugin of "package-kit" (that I fear is only available for FF and maybe seamonkey(?). So I guess if FF is open, the plugin gets loaded by default and the action that is called for in vivaldi is arriving to it?
Sorry for not understanding at once. My error. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Here is how i do a one-click on Chrome; via Chrome on the link right-click and 'save link as' opens file-manager, leaving the file saved name on bottom-pane of chrome, clicking it starts install process, not sexy but works for me. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
