[opensuse] How do I remove an activity?
I created a "Search and launch containment" activity. Very nice. Now how to get rid of it? The caret isn't there on that. When I use the widget in the toolbar to change activities and then zoom out, I see all activities. OK. But each of them should have a little toolbar at the bottom with some icons for delete, modify, zoom ... But the one for the "Search and launch containment" activity doesn't have those. There seems to be no way to destroy this activity once its created. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Why isn't the interface consistent? Please note: I'm not bitching about Activities. I may not have Charles enthusiasm about them but I think they are OK. I just want to know how to delete an activity when I don't want it any more. I can delete all my other activities but not the "Search and launch containment" activity. Why the inconsistency? What am I running? As I understand it the search and launch activity is meant to be used only in "netbook mode". To change modes go System Settings -> Desktop -> Workspace -> Form Factor. The bug might be that you are allowed to add a search and launch activity in desktop mode.

It is quite annoying, because on the Search and Launch activity right-click is disabled. Try switching your plasma to netbook mode, you should be able to configure it then. I think one other way to do it is (with no windows open) Alt+D , then Alt+S. That opens the activity settings. Switch it to a different type of activity and then you should be able to remove it. Kind of bizarre, but it should work. Regards, Tejas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
