Dell Inspiron 8500 w/1920X1200 resolution LCD
Have the above system that worked with suse 9.3, however, with 10.0 it refuses to use the 1920X1200 resolution, goes to 1600X1200 which puts everythings aspect ratio out of whack. Does anyone have the Xorg.conf settings, that is, mode lines, etc. for this type display? Presently have LCD selected as the monitor type as there is no selection for the inspiron 8500 with 1920X1200 display. Vesa does not have that resolution listed. Art

Hi Art, When I installed 10.0, I couldn't convince it to enable 1600 x 1200 resolution on my system, even though that's the way I've been running it since 8.2 and the system was new. My "fix" (workaround) was to retreive the 9.3 xorg.conf from a backup and graft the relevant contents into the 10.0 file. regards, - Carl
