[opensuse] konqueror ftp problem
When dragging files down from my remote webserver to a backup directory on my desktop konq tells me that the file I'm attempting to replace is newer than the one on the server when it in fact isn't. FireFTP seems to do a better job but doesn't inspire confidence as not all modified files get changed. gftp segfaults randomly beyond repair. Can ftp be used like this to sync two versions one local and one remote? Any advice? I can't use rsync or ssh to the remote server. 10.2 X86-64 Steve. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Steve.
I've had no such issues - and think Konq is the best FTP client I've ever used. (Many thanks to whomever suggested it to me a year or so ago.) It could be that your remote server is modifying the time stamp on the file prior to you sending it? -- kai Free Compean and Ramos http://www.perfectreign.com/?q=node/46 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
