[opensuse] i586 Tumbleweed Installation ISO Has x_86_64 image files
Hello, Trying to install openSUSE Tumbleweed from the 20151111 i586 snapshot, I get an error that common-base-i386.tar.xz is not found on the medium. Examining the contents of ~/images/ I note all the files are x86_64. I also downloaded 20151113, and it has the same issue. Am I doing something wrong, or was there an error made while compiling the snapshot? Maitreya - I am kinda smiling a bit because I just pointed out this problem and ask the very same question yesterday, and got told that a program has a problem only when a lot of people point out that there is a problem.... So Basil - How many people need to complain about the Tumbleweed i586 snapshot before it is acknowledged that there is a problem? ;-) Marc... -- "The Truth is out there" - Spooky -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It might be worth mentioning this on opensuse-factory too. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (8.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
Thanks, Per. Glad to know I'm not losing my mind (well, at least not in this regard). I know cross-posting is generally frowned upon in forums, but I'll consider posting to opensuse-factory as well. -----Original Message----- From: Per Jessen [mailto:per@computer.org] Sent: Monday, November 16, 2015 11:09 PM To: opensuse@opensuse.org Subject: Re: [opensuse] i586 Tumbleweed Installation ISO Has x_86_64 image files Marc Chamberlin wrote:

I guess this list is now equally suitable for Leap and Tumbleweed, but in the past we have referred Tumbleweed questions to opensuse-factory. I think you will find a more receptive audience there. /Per -- Per Jessen, Zürich (14.9°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

(What the...? "So Basil - How many people need to complain about the Tumbleweed i586 snapshot before it is acknowledged that there is a problem?" ? What have I said? Where did I say it? Who says I said whatever? [I don't use an i586 system, BTW.] But OK, let's play the game... The answer is anything above 0.
