[opensuse] Simple Cad Program for 10.3
Looking for a simple Cad drawing program, don't really need 3d stuff, just drawing a couple pieces of flat metal. I did do a quick look thru the repositories I had setup and did not find much. Thanks, Mike -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If you go to http://packages.opensuse-community.org/ and search for cad it comes up with qcad which might be what you want. You can install from the site. Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Regards Dave P I bought a copy of QCAD for work. Imports DXF files - fonts not always correctly sized thou. I also tried VariCAD, but could never warm up to it.

Never really gave it a try, but QCad might be just the right thing for you:
http://www.ribbonsoft.com/qcad.html
It's on 11.0 (and also on earlier releases) AFAICS.

Been using this for years. It also opens AutoCAD files which are saved in .dxf format. -- kai www.filesite.org || www.4thedadz.com || www.perfectreign.com remember - a turn signal is a statement, not a request -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
